A warranty extension can be bought at any time up to six months from purchase of a new TV. The warranty extension will become active when the manufacturers or suppliers warranty finishes at the end of the first, second or third year.
So for example an item coming with a 1 year manufacturers warranty, a +1 year warranty extension will mean that you have cover for a total of 2 years.
