9-May-2007 Joe: I'm interested in buying this TV but i would like to know if it will support surround sound, as i read something that mentioned there is no audio input socket.

Easycom: This has component as well as composite connections & audio left & right. But to have a true surround system you're better off having a home cinema system channeled through your scart to show the picture

Easycom: It will display up to a maximum of 1080i. This means, at the moment, it will display anything Sky are outputting fully plus games upt to 1080i. its not limited to what signals it will display just the way the picture is displayed

15-May-2007 rog: i dont know a great deal about tv's and spec. my question is: can you connect 2.1 or 5.1 surround sound speakers to this model and if so, what type of connection is needed and any possibility of you reccomending a set on your website please?

Easycom: I would'nt try to connect a surround sound sytem directly to your TV, you are best connecting via a DVD player, SKy or satalite system or buying a surround system with dvd. Most TV's will have a left & right audio channel but they're not setup to take surround sound systems

10-Jun-2007 Paul: I'm interested in buying this tv but I need to ask a very basic question. I recently bought a polaroid FLU 2632 (This tv looks identical) for my bedroom as my old tv went pop. The problem I had was that the screen didn't auto adjust from 4:3 to 16:9 and vise versa when the program on the screen did. (i.e when watching Sky Sports News (4:3) and then the adverts come on (16:9) it remained in either 4:3 or 16:9 and didn't change. I am wondering if this tv does do that. I know it's a very basic function but one a want.

Easycom: Once you have chosen your screen setting it won't change unless the image has been broadcasted differently; So if you watch a film that is being shown as 16:9 widescreen, and you have your Tv set as widescreen, tha image will change when adds are shown but only to fill the whole screen

Easycom: This Acer TV does not have a digital tuner built in.

Easycom: There is no audio line out connection on this laptop so you would have to use either the HDMI or a SCARRT connection.
