Comments, Questions and Answers

Main Product Comments, Questions and Answers

7-May-2007 ian: This tv is advertised elsewhere at having a 5ms response time and a ratio of 5000:1. could you please confirm the actual spec?

Easycom: Actual spec is 5ms response & 5000:1 contrast. we have changed our website thanks for letting us know

12-Jul-2007 Wayne: Technical Specification Tab shows 800:1 Contrast Ratio and 8ms Response Time where as Product Summary states 5000:1 Contrast Ration and 5ms Response Time? Which one is correct? Thank you

Easycom: That tab is wrong. It's data that is fed automatically from the web. The true spec is 5000:1 contrast & 5ms respnse

28-Oct-2007 gary jackson: what cables do i need to connect my atec 37 inch hd ready lcd tv to my virgin v plus box to give me high defenition pictures and sound

Easycom: you need a HDMI cable

8-Nov-2007 joe: is this tv wallmountable?

Easycom: Yes it is wall mountable.

22-Jun-2007 Mike: I have sky+ and would like to get a 37" lcd to go with it. I dont need a freeview tuner but would like HDMI connectors. Can you recommend a few models i should consider. Budget is £400 - £600

Easycom: the best value TV we have, without freeview would be a 40" Teco TL4091RW, we do have an Acer 37" but the Teco is a better TV

2-May-2007 Frank: What's the difference between the 370DS and the 371DS?

Easycom: It's the style of the TV. AV370 is silver with a black inner bezel & speakers on the side, the AV371 is black with speakers underneath the screen

23-Jun-2007 robbie: will this tv suport the ps3

Easycom: Yes it will

9-Sep-2007 Chris: I am looking for a new 37'' HD Ready with freeview (PIP) (PBP)and Nicam for the price of £500 to £600. The two i have ended up with are Atec AV370-DS AND Atec 371-DS which would you recomend for picture quality and sound and widescreen modes.

Easycom: both the same just that one is silver & one is black

9-May-2007 David: As previous question, other sites state this model is 720p and 1080i, you say the 1080p is due out in June(new model) hence the price increase, however you do not mention 1080i for this model - is it a spec I should be concerned about and wait or is 1080i worth having and is this model 1080i? Thank you

Easycom: this TV is 720p/1080i. re 1080p, It all depends upon what you're watching on your TV. If you have a BLu-ray or High Def player & watching pre recorded films, or playing PS3/Xbox 360 you may notice a difference, otherwise you can't tell any difference.

8-May-2007 ady: been on atec website (www.ateceurope.com) and it says resolution is 1920x1080 (wsxga)whatever that means? on yor site it says resolution 1366x768. is the 1920x1080 true hd or is yor site correct?

Easycom: The full 1080p model won't be launcherd unitl sometime in June (1920x1080) ours is the 1366x768. The higher spec TV will be £200ish more but we haven't got pricing yet

1-Jul-2007 Matthew: Would this TV fit onto the your "Easycom LCD & Plasma TV Stand up to 42" - ZAR421135/BSPI" ? Thanks

Easycom: yes it will

9-Mar-2008 george: are you correct in stating that the tv has BOTH DVI and RGB CONNECTIONS .specification does not state dvi input as such , do you need a dvi to hdmi cable to connect a computer. i want to connect two computers using each type of connection

Easycom: ther's no mention of a dvi connection on this product

30-Jan-2008 Skiver: Does this TV support frequency of 60Hz? Certain Xbox games run at this frequency so need to find out before i purchase.

Easycom: yes it will

30-Oct-2007 Riddy 3:16: I've been researching many HDTVs recently, as I will be purchasing one in the very near future. I have looked at various ones, but regardless of other HDTVs having higher specs (when it comes to either contrast ratio, brightness, or response time), including the TV pictured here, you guys often recommend the 40" Teco (TL4091RW) over the others, despite its spec being lower. Why is this, just because it is a genuinely better TV (depite the lower spec) or the cost being a mere £500, or a bit of both? I'm very, very interested in the Teco (if I decide on that one) and will be using it primarily for my 360 and watching DVDs on and would like to know if it would be a great choice, as otherwise I would be willing to pay up to £700, but if there isn't much difference I'd rather save £200! Thanks.

Easycom: We recommend this model because it offers very good value for money, however the Atec television is also good value for money and would be ideal for use with your Xbox as the response time is only 5ms, and offers a very good contrast ratio along with brightness level.

8-Jan-2008 Mac: Hi, what vesa standard wall mount would I need? (Thinking of a swing arm type)

Easycom: you would need to go for a large plasma mount due to the weight of the TV

16-Feb-2008 Dougie: Hi, I've been looking for a 32"-37" tv for my bedroom. My max price is £500. I would appreciate your opinion for best choice. I have been looking at the Finlux 32FLD760,Philips 32PFL5522D and the Atec AV371-DS. It will be used only for TV and DVD's. If these would be your first choices, could you please put them in order as weight may yet have a final say on the outcome, as the wall it will hang on is not solid. Many thanks.

Easycom: If I had a choice I would go for the Philips first, looks better, better build quality & more options for mounting. The heaviest is the Atec, very heavy sets
