13-Apr-2008 NB: Hi. I'm on Vigin Media cable TV, and the resolution with this recently purchased telly is not the best. Is it a problem with Virgin or am I doing something wrong, because given it's specs, I expected a much clearer picture. Thanks in advance

Easycom: Standard cable resolution is poor - It looks OK on CRT TVs as the artifacts (graphical imperfections caused by compression of the signal) do not show up (The CRT 'blurs' the picture). On a high definition TV, you see the signal without any blurring, which makes these imperfections show up. Cable TV is the worst culprit for this as the signals are compressed the most. You should upgrade your service to a HD set top box, as this service has good quality HD signals with no visible artifacts on HD TVs.
