Easycom: 1366x768 does not support 1:1 pixel mapping, on any make of TV. you have to have a screen resolution of 1920x1080 to get a full screen 1:1 pixel mapping. On a 1366x768 screen, to get 1:1 pixel mapping you will have to set the resolution to 720p and have a smaller image and then you would have to be using it as a monitor or displaying blu-ray. Easycom: The higher contrast ratios are capable of displaying blacks better, but generally between 6k and 10k you won't notice it that much unless you're watching TV with the lights out. This set does have freeview.

5-May-2008 Alex: hi guys, just bought this tv after a reassuring comment, and for all you guys thinking about wat tv to get especially if your on a budge, DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS TV. It is 95% amazing, only negative comments are that the built in freeview is slightly basic, but is freeview none the less, and the controller is slightly lacking style, but that is easily over looked. The tv itself looks very respectable, and the picture is incredible. Works amazing with an xbox 360. Buy this TV!!!!!!

28-May-2008 jack.b: i am very impressed with this tv .it arrived today .28th may 2008...take the time to set the contrast / colour and it will be a match for many many models costing much more . the freeview cannot be faulted . lower the backlight to no more than 25 . brightness no more than 50 /contrast with a white shirt adjust until you can see all the folds and buttons and you are very close . then enjoy it . 3 year warranty . what more do you want .

Easycom: this set does not support PIP, so you can't wathc 2 images at the same time. as to using it as a monitor, yes you can but the picture size will be wholy dependant on your graphics card.

My elderley Mother has a Wharfdale which is quite good on DVB but as she insists on unplugging set at end of day when she plugs it in next day she gets analogue channels 1-5 only and poor reception and cannot understand controls to reset to DV. I intend to get this model for my elderley Aunt but am cautious about same problem.

Easycom: No, it will stay on the channel last watched. To switch between analogue and digital, you have to manually switch between the 2 to change what you're watching

15-Jul-2008 steve: you ask if my dvd recorder has freeview, the answer is no. from this question am I to believe that the only way to record freeview is through a dvd with freeview built-in, or, by attaching a set-top box to my dvd recorder - if this is the case I am sure I am not alone in thinking that by buying this tv I would have been able to record a freeview channel, because come the switchover I will be left with no ability to record without buying another set-top box or buying a recorder with freeview built-in. I know you are not responsible for the manufacture of the tv, but I think they are a bit naughty for not revealing this fact to the buying public.

Easycom: This TV will record to videos or DV recorders, I have a mirai set up in my showroom recording its freeview channel. you will need to check the way you've got your DVD recorder setup. simplest way is to connect the 2 via the av1 scart, turn on your dvd recorder, select your harddrive & make sure thats on AV1. it should then record whatever is showing on your TV
