Easycom: You can set this machine to record freeview using the integrated tuner whilst watching any channel on virgin TV.

Easycom: you can't record "upscaled media" as upscaling is a digital fudge for pre recorded films, suposedly enhancing the picture quality. what you will have to do, to increase picture quality on what you record, is change the quality settings of your DVD

29-Apr-2009 John: So many programmes clash at 2100hrs - is it possible to record BBC 1 and ITV simultaneously on the DMR-EX88 ? If not what would be a solution ?

jeremy: its not.. your option would have to be a twin Tuner PVR DTR160

8-Jul-2009 Ben: I have Sky HD. If I have programs stored on the Sky HD hard drive can I copy them on to the HDD or DVD on the DMR-EX88? If yes how easy is this to do? thanks

jeremy: you would have to have your Sky box linked through your DVD recorder, then to your TV, but this would only be able to be done via SCART which means that you wouldn't be recording digitally and your dvd recorder would have to be on to watch TV.
