25-Jun-2009 Ken Pett: Your description says that it has two HD FreeSat tuners and is also compatible with Freeview +. Is this true and for HD?

jeremy: Yes it does have twin freesat tuners, but no where do we mention Freeview on this product.. it has fresssat plus which works in the same way as Freesat+

31-Jul-2009 Edd: Does this also play DVD's and does it record onto DVD's besides the hard drive. Just wondered why it is £300 dearer than the Humax one

jeremy: Yes it records on to DVD's as well as plays them. The Humax doesn't have these features

5-Aug-2009 Rich: When this product is used with a Freesat TV, is it possible to watch one programme whilst recording two others?

jeremy: it has twin tuners so you can watch one channel whilst recording another, just through the box. If you have a freesat TV you could record 2 different channels whilst watching a 3rd

31-Aug-2009 rosemary john: can you clarify for me, as I read on one description of this product that you need two seperate coax supplies from thefreesat dish to watch one channel and record another or record two at the same time.Is this correct or will one supply from the dish be ok.

jeremy: you need to have a dual feed from your dish

16-Oct-2009 Lynsey: I already have a sky dish, so can i just plug the freesat box in? Do i need an engineer to install?

jeremy: If your dish is fairly new then you can plug it traight into the recorder. If its an old dish then it would be worth geting an engineer to check the allignment

jeremy: If you want to use the freesat tuners on all your devices, then you will need 3 feeds from your dish. You will also need an HDMI cable to between your TV and the recorder

18-Oct-2009 Philip: My tv has freesat built in, If I have 2 outputs from my dish going to the recorder do I still need one to go into the tv ?

jeremy: If you want to use the tuner thats built into the TV, then yes you will need a third feed

19-Oct-2009 Dave: Can I use DMR-XS350EBK on my single channel sky dish until I upgrade my dish to a dual or quad LNB? I understand I lose the recording one one channel while watching another until I upgrade I was just concerned that the unit would not shut down with ony one input?

jeremy: you can just use one channel for recording

17-Aug-2010 Martin Pressick.: What are the full functions of the USB port? Can you, for example, view a film stored on a stick/portable HDD? Can you copy films from the HDD to external hard drive? USB ports on anything but a PC seem to have differing capabilities. Thank you.

9-Sep-2010 Andrew Mitchell: I have SKy + which I am planning to leave. New dish installed recently. Confused over the leads required. I believe that as I can record on HDD whilst watching another programme I must have twin leads currently ? I do not have a Freesat TV merely Freeview with HD 1080. I am looking at BT Vision package (or Virgin) would this affect this machine. Also does DVD player have own sound output or just through TV. Finally - if required - would you supply an installing engineer at my expense of course. Many thanks and sorry for all the queries!

jeremy: Hi.... OK, you will need a twin feed, from your dish to the DMR-XS350EBK, to allow you to watch one channel whilst recording another. DMR-XS350EBK does have audio out, so you can connect it to a home cinema system if you wish. As for affecting any of your other equipment, there shouldn't be any issues. You will need to connect the DMR-XS350EBK via HDMI, as long as you have a good quality digital aerial, you will receives all your freeview channels through your TV, so you could actually record 2 different channels whilst watching a 3rd from the TV. Finally you BT box would connect via SCART, or HDMI if you go for the HD option, but this won't affect anything else either. If you're still not sure we can offer an install service which costs around £77

21-Sep-2010 D Thirlwell: Hi, I have sky and have recently fitted a new quad LNB. I want to keep the sky and add freesat. Will adding it effect my sky subscription/signal? Also, is it possible to connect the sky box to it and record onto the hard drive separately (scart etc)?

jeremy: you will need 2 coax feeds, from your dish, to work the Panasonic box. You can't piggy back from your multi room to the Panasonic box either. If you connect your sky box, to your Panasonic box, via SCART, you can then copy from your SKY hard drive to the hard drive of the DMR-XS350

23-Sep-2010 sallyann: what is the difference between the DMR XS 350EB- K and XS 350 and is it digital .. because iam looking for a digital HD freesat DVD player and recorder i did see this on the freesat website but i looked up the retailer and the code was the same except for the last coding which ended in EB-K

jeremy: EBK or EB-K is the full code for the product.
