I am looking for a Home Cinema system without a DVD player. Can you please recommend a very good system. Can you please tell me if the Home Cinema system is connected to the DVD player and not to the television. I plan to purchase a High Definition TV and Blue ray player soon. Easycom: this system does include a DVD player. If you are planning on buying a blu-ray player, I would advise to wait with the purchas of the home cinema system and get a blu-ray home cinema system. you would then have no issues about compatibility or connections. as for recomendation, decide upon the TV brand and then go for the system to match that

13-Mar-2008 gerry b: I have a samsung 1080p lcd but do not like any of the 2.1 home cinema systems they do..can you tell me if the panasonic scpt5eb is compatible with my tv, and is the new panasonic scpt50eb 2.1 (out in april) a better 2.1 than the 5eb..oh and on any spec list I dont see optical in or out mentioned....Thanks

Easycom: they are both about the same spec. the new system has a modified subwoofer and the both have optical in & out. I don't have details on the output for the PTX50 but I would think it will be the same. obviously, with hdmi & optical ports, it will be compatible with your Samsung. Price will be about the same as well
