Featuring a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, the LZD81 is a set that really shines when hooked up to a HD source such as a Blu-ray player, XBox 360 or Playstation 3 which all support the full 1080P resolution. But dont worry, although most TV channels are waiting to jump aboard the HD wagon, services such as the BBC have HD content on satellite and freeview, so you can enjoy all the details without any of the fuss.

Not only that, you can enjoy the beautiful cinematic reproduction of movie images. The images that are recorded onto movie film at 24 frames per second (fps) are reproduced at two times that speed by 24p Playback. This achieves a more genuine film-like reproduction.

Improved panel contrast combines with the I.S.C.(Intelligent Scene Controller) to achieve a high, 10,000:1 contrast ratio (Dynamic mode only) to give the kind of expressive power that will thrill all science-fiction/horror fans out there as even the darkest scenes are elaborately detailed.

In addition to brilliant picture quality, the LZD81 offers the wireless control made possible by VIERA Link. VIERA Link lets you operate other connected Panasonic AV components using only the VIERA TVs remote control unit.

You can also view a slideshow of your photos on VIERAs big beautiful screen just by simply removing the SD memory card from your digital still camera, and slip it into the SD Card Slot on the side.

All this and Freesat built in! Ill have three please.

4-Nov-2008 Richard Showell: RE - Panasonic TX-37LZD81 Does this include a stand? If not how much is one? Also, what are the delivery lead times?

jeremy: when you say stand, do you mean pedestal, in that case yes it does... they are in stock so you could have it next day

14-Nov-2008 Kevin Russell: Do you require a Digital Satellite Dish with this TV?

David J: Yes, you would need a digital dish in order to recieve the FreeSat service.

14-Nov-2008 malcolm taylor: can you record a freesat channel on a dvd recorder and watch another freesat channel

jeremy: no as it only has 1 freesat tuner on board. you would have to buy a second freesat box to do this

23-Nov-2008 Steve S: I have a satelite dish previously used to receive Sky. Will this simply plug into the back of this TV and will it work without having to be repositioned etc?

jeremy: As long as the dish is fairly new yes. They work on roughly the same telemetry, but with age, dishes do move.. So sometimes it is advisable to get it checked, or changed, especially with an old dish

30-Nov-2008 Paul Faice: Does this price include or exclude the Panasonic 5 year warranty ?

David J: This model comes with a 5 Year Warranty when purchased from our Sales Counter

1-Dec-2008 Carol: can I use a PVR with this set to record programs ?

sajidH: Of course you can.

1-Dec-2008 E Hatfield: when you say the 5 year warranty is included when purchased from your sales counter does this mean it is not included when purchased on line?

sajidH: Its not online.

2-Dec-2008 Carol: a follow up to my earlier question on PVR - if I have freesat in the tv then I am assuming I do NOT need and in fact should not buy a PVR with freesat already - is this correct?

jeremy: If you are wanting to record your Freesat content, on to a DVD HDD recorder, then you will not be able record one channel whilst watching another. If you're just planning to watch Freesat HD then you are correct

12-Dec-2008 Steve: Can i buy this tv from the huthwaite showroom at the internet price & take home. Does the price include the 5 yr warranty.

jeremy: The store price is the same as the internet price but for the 5 yr warranty, this is only eligable from our Huddersfield store

25-Dec-2008 Panasonic TX-37LZD81: Barry: As it is larger, is the picture quality as good on the TX-37LZD81 as good as the TX-32LZD81. Is the screen frequency 50 or 100Mhz on either models.

jeremy: These sets are nto 100hz. Obviously with a larger screen the closer you are the more noticable the pixelation will be

26-Dec-2008 martin: what is diferent tv whit 10000:1 and tv 50000:1 dynamic contrast?

jeremy: it is potential ability to have darker blacks and brighter whites. This is all dependent upon the signal being received.

jeremy: this TV is 599.97 in store only due to the volume of sales. we have limited stock left, so to guarantee stock at this price it has to be bought in store only

29-Dec-2008 Ronnie B: Is this tv 100hz or does it have technology to overcome the problem of sound overlap. thanks

jeremy: it is not 100hz, but this has nothing to do with sound issues

jeremy: Yes Panasonic does have a system to help eleviate motion blur We curently have 18 in stock

12-Jan-2009 Richard I: Can you receive freeview as well as freesat on the TX-37LZ D81 and can it be fitted to an existing satelite dish (which I want to keep to receive some Sky programmes) relatively easily by myself or would I need a technician to install it. How many left in stock and are you getting any more at the depot price?

jeremy: the Freesat come with Freeview as well. Yes you can use your existing Sky dish, but if want to keep SKy, you will have have to have dual feed from your dish. Stock is available

20-Jan-2009 Wayne: I have a panasonic dvd recorder but cannot find the right way to connect it to record the built-in Freesat channels. Can you tell me what ports I need to connect the RGB cable to and from on the tv and recorder?

david s: You can only record free sat with a free sat recorder sorry

20-Jan-2009 Wayne: I have a panasonic dvd recorder but cannot find the right way to connect it to record the built-in Freesat channels. Can you tell me what ports I need to connect the RGB cable to and from on the tv and recorder?

jeremy: To record your freesat channels, you will have to connect via SCART and record off whichever AV channel it is. Because your DVD recorder doesn't have Freesat built in you won't be able to watch one channel & record another
