8-May-2007 MWJ: According to the Samsung site, this model has 3xHDMI sockets, yet your description states 2. Is this correct ?

Easycom: Samsungs info is a bit missleading, they show it as 3 HDMI's at the top buit when you go into the detailed spec they only list it as 2. we have just put a 26" on display & it only has 2 HDMI ports

Easycom: there is an on/off switch on the front of the TV

Easycom: Depends on the size of your living room. YOu would need to be, at least, 3 metres away from the screen to view it properly

Easycom: cosmetics. the R87 has an on/off switch on the front where as the R88 doesn't. Samsung brought out these 2 to try & show some difference between retail & etail, but they are the same TV underneath

Easycom: this tv has been developed with gaming in mind so has good response times

19-Sep-2007 Leanne: I only have a normal digi box at home, will the picture be of less quality as the TV is HD ready and it is not receiving a HD signal? I am unable to view a non HD signal in the shops.

Easycom: you can view a standard image in our showroom but you will get a lower quality picture, because of the type of signal.

13-Mar-2008 Omar: Hi, I am looking to buy a HD LCD for mainly playing my 360. I have seen a lot of TVs. This looks like to be the best option, I just have one small detail that I just can't tell from you specs. I know it will not display in full 1080p but will it display in 1080i? I see it says 1080i on the specs but it does not specify whether this is its native output.

Easycom: you will have to reset your games consoles to 1080i. all LCD TVs will display in 1080i

Easycom: I would go with the Samsung as it has a higher contrast ratio which would improve the picture.

5-Nov-2007 MB: Would the Sony KDL37P3020U 37" be better. Mainy for my ps3. If so how much better??? What is differnce between 'picture in picture' and 'picture and picture'. Thanks

Easycom: I would recommend the Sony model as it has a higher brightness specification and features the Bravia picture engine. Picture in picture - one picture is displayed in full screen with a superimposed smaller image (similar to a window on a PC screen) from another source. Picture and picture - Is two pictures from separate sources playing along side on another with sound coming from one of the pictures.

Easycom: The LE37M86BD has a higher brightness value and a higher resolution. This does feature picture in picture, and so you will be able to view a small superimposed image from one source whilst the other source is full screen.

13-Dec-2007 Alex: I have just purchased this TV. Initial thoughts is that its definatly value for money. This may sound very insignificant to most but I am very impressed with the text option enabling me to read the tect whilst watching half the screen. However I cant get the picture in picture to work. I go to set up but the PIP is not lit up in white letters like the other options so cannot select it! Am I doing something wrong or is it the fault of the TV? PLEASE HELP!!
