5-Jul-2008 John: I am comparing this product with the Samsung 42 Inch HD ready Plasma TV - PS42A457P1DXXU. I have sky and watch a lot of sport. My main interest is picture quality and conectivity to other devices. Can you offer any guidance.

Easycom: these are both Samsungs entry level sets and, as such, ofer very similar specs. The LCD is better for brighter rooms, the plasma will give you a better contrast ratio. If its sport you're watching I would go for LE40A559P4F, yes its more money but a far superior picture & better for sport & fast moving images
