Freeview is a free digital UK terrestrial TV service offering over 30 TV channels and 20 radio stations, using the DVB-T standard. With a Freeview enabled TV, you wont need a set top box as the tuner is built in. Freeview is received through your normal rooftop aerial, visit www.freeview.co.uk to check that you can receive it.

The standard aspect ratio for High Definition TV is 16:9 Widescreen. Perfect for Home Cinema, and watching Digital TV Broadcasts.

This premiere surround sound format delivers realistic digital audio via 5.1 discrete channels. The three front channels (Left/Center/Right) deliver crisp, clean dialogue and accurate placement of on-screen sounds, while twin surround channels (Left Surround/Right Surround) wrap around the audience and immerse them in the action. The LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) channel delivers real impact for explosions and other effects that can, literally, be felt as well as heard.

The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is an industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface. HDMI provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, a DVD player, or an A/V receiver and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a Digital TV.

1080p HDTV''s deliver more detail, which can enhance the viewing experience for more attentive visual persons, but it takes the right distance from the TV and a fine eye to truly appreciate it. The most important factor is to view the color, how the TV handles black coloring, the contrast, and most importantly, what you will mainly use the TV for before you make a judgment. Unless you buy a TV that is 50 inches or more and at the right distance, it will be difficult to distinguish a difference in quality between 1080p, 1080i, and 720p, but you will be able to distinguish it in price

x.v.Colour delivers almost twice as many colours as the full RGB palette. x.v.Colour enables much more realistic images to be presented on-screen, although you''ll need to own a High Definition TV to see them at their best.

Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture

This mode allows films to be watched as intended by the director for the big screen, at 24 frames per second. Until now, movies watched at home play back ''faster'' than they do in the cinema. When a film is shown on TV or sold on DVD it has to be adjusted to be compatible with the PAL format. The difference is that films are shot at a rate of 24 frames per second, whereas standard TV uses 25 frames per second.

I am moving in to the property on Friday 5 December 2008 and would like the item delivered after 3pm on that day, can you do this pleaase? Also how much is the upgrade to 5yrs guarantee

david s: We can deliver to fife, as the tv is a 40" set it would qualify for our specialised 2 man service which costs about Ł30. The warranty extention would be about Ł110 to take it to 5years
