Easycom: This TV would be fine for Xbox, as would the Acer, neither has been tested on PS3, so I can't guarantee suitability. This comes with a 2 year warranty. As far as stacking up against the Acer, they are very much a similar product in performance and spec; But I would personally gor for the Teco because it is larger & better warranty

Easycom: This has HDMI ports not DVI. We have specified the 32" bracket as it is the best fit for this TV. We are using it to display this TV in our showroom

Easycom: it means that the pixels are larger. With LCD & plasma tv's you have an optimum viewing distance depending on the size of the screen. you will see the pixels more, on a large screen, the closer you get. large screens, 40" plus, should be viewed from about 3 metres away.

29-Jun-2007 Dan: Integrated Analogue Tuner? - why does this tv not have a digital tuner and what affect does this have on the proposed switch off of analogue? Seems like old technology or is there a good reason for this.

Easycom: The Teco brand is a pan european brand, where there isn't any digital TV, therefore they haven't included a digital tuner. You will need to connect via Sky or a Freeview box to get digital TV. But for £499 for a 40 inch TV!

29-Jun-2007 Neil: We Brought a 40 inch teco TV and we have installed a virgin media box onto it. The screen keeps flashing off every 3/4 seconds saying 'no signal' with a box in the bottom corner saying 'HDMI 1', I was wondering if you could tell me how to get rid of it ?

Easycom: this looks like a bad connection. Check your connections & cables to make sure nothing is loose. If your cables are not fitting snuggly, you may need to change you cables

17-Jul-2007 Francis: Lovely TV. Fantastic value for money. I've tested it with my PS3 via HDMI, and apart from a minor issue with apparent, random dot crawl (not really noticable) I am *very* happy with it. Component image wasn't great on the PS3 though. Both these issues might be down to cheap cables though, so I'm going to get better cables and test again. I'll post again when I have.

Easycom: we've sold out of the Acer but the Teco is a better sxcreen. You can plug a freeview box in to it

27-Jul-2007 Viv: Hi, I received this teco tv a few days ago and i must say what a excellent buy it is. Brilliant picture on both my Xbox 360 (Component) and PS3 (HDMI). I suggest that everybody who wants a big tv for under 500 quid should buy it. Under normal circumstances i would have rated it 5 stars out of 5 but cos of a little known fact about the tv that isn't advertised i will rate it 6 out of 5 instead. What fact you say? Well the fact that this tv is NOT only 720p. It is in fact 1080p!!!!!!. Yes thats right 1080p. I plugged my PS3 in and it set itself up for 1080p. I was ecstatic as u can imagine. So get ur wallets out and buybefore they realise their mistake and put the price up. This tv is the cheapest tv in the world that supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Thanks a lot DirectTVs :-)

Can you tell me how to do this. Also, am I right in thinking that if I pay it off before the 12 months is up I will only pay the cost of the tv and the delivery charge and nothing else?

14-Aug-2007 Gus: You state that the screen resolution is 1366x768 However Viv above says that it is a 1080 ie I presume he means 1920 x 1080 p. Im confused - surely it is either one or the other- how can it vary?

Easycom: the resolution is 1366x768. Therefore it can show an image of up to 1080i( interlaced picture, scans alternate lines so doesn't need 1080 lines!!)

Easycom: Yes, however would depend on the outputs of the graphics card. This television features HDMI connections where you would need an HDMI cable. Another way is through VGA which would be a standard VGA cable as used on the monitor.

Easycom: the ghosting wil be down to the quality of your signal. you need to get an aerial man in to check it out

Easycom: the person that made those comments doesn't know what they are talking about. Unless you have 1080 horizontal lines you can't display 1080p. the resolution of this TV is 1366x768 so physically can't do it

19-Jan-2008 Dan Cartwright: Hi I have a Teco 40" LCD TV and I run it though my ps3 and it appears to run in 1080p. I realize with this TV its impossible to view 1080p so why is this? Most of the games run in 720p but blu-ray dvds and normal dvds are played and upscaled to 1080p. What resolution should I set my Ps3/TV to, 720p, 1080i or automatic which seems to secect 1080p?

Easycom: for you PS3 to work properly you need to set it to 1080i.
