Comments, Questions and Answers

Main Product Comments, Questions and Answers

25-Mar-2007 sc: With the Toshiba receiving a low rating, what are the biggest problems with the TV - are there particular pluses that would outweigh them depending on needs as another review I saw gave it 8/10.

Easycom: The specification is very high on this particular TV featuring an excellent contrast ratio, freeview, SRS Audio and Regza image processing technology. The current rating is based on it being a brand new product which has only been rated a few times. The more ratings it receives, the more accurate the average score will be.

17-Apr-2007 Barrie: Does this tv support CP (Content Protection)

Easycom: This TV does support copy protection

26-Apr-2007 Adam: Will I notice the difference between this tv's 4000:1 contrast ratio and a samsung's 6000:1?

Easycom: No, because it will come down to the quality of the colour processors. Toshiba have better drivers than Samsung

1-May-2007 Mark: is this suited to xbox 360 in fullscreen mode with component/vga and is it wall mountable? thank you

Easycom: Yes this supports Xbox 360 in fullscreen and is wall mountable. I would use our bracket FL1

12-May-2007 ebonyfish: Are the dimensions quoted inclusive of the stand. What is the depth of the unit itself if it were to be wall mounted.

Easycom: the depth of this without the stand is 122mm

12-May-2007 Robin: Does this TV support PiP? What cables come with it and which ones don't?

Easycom: this doesn't support picture in picture & will come with a mains power lead but no other cables

16-May-2007 ebonyfish: How do you remove the table top stand if you wish to wall mount the tv? It is not obvious ion the accompanying booklet.

Easycom: I think it has a bolt up the middl of the stand. You will have to turn it upside down

17-May-2007 bower17: i dont have a clue when comes to hdtv's but wat resolution is this? like is it 720p etc?

Easycom: This TV Will show a resolution of upto 1080i, on hi definition. The screen resolution is 1366x768 lines

25-May-2007 pb: Can the TV swivel to the left and right on the stand and to what degree?

Easycom: sorry I do not have that information. I have checked on Toshibas website, & through the owners manual, and nothing is listed to give this information

25-Jun-2007 EF: I notice this TV is spec'd to 12ms response time. How much of a disadvantage is this compared to others @ 8ms? Also, will I notice a lot of difference between this 4000:1 contrast ratio and the Acer 3220's 1200:1?

Easycom: with reference to the response time, unless you are using your tv as a computer monitor, you wouldn't be able to tell. You would notice a difference in the contrast ratio. The Toshiba's black would be much darker than the Acer, and in general would be a much sharper picture

25-Jun-2007 Phil: Will this TV support XBOX 360 NTSC format?

Easycom: yes it will

29-Jul-2007 gazzbeef: would u recomend the this tv for use with the ps3 and blue ray

Easycom: with Toshiba this is only a 1080i tv, so you wouldn't get the full benefit of Blu ray. If you're wanting a Toshiba TV you would be best going for the X series 37X3030db

1-Aug-2007 pappy: is this tv a refurbished one.i see you've got ratings for your products.under what rating will this come under please.

Easycom: This is a new product.

9-Aug-2007 i'mnosuperman: which is better for playing on the PS3:the Hannspree 32 Inch LCD HD TV or the Toshiba 32C3030D 32" HD Ready LCD TV

Easycom: The Tosh would be better

22-Aug-2007 CAZACSTAN: which is better for computing and playing x box this or the samsung LE32R87BDX

Easycom: Go for the Tosh as its was developed along with Microsoft

31-Aug-2007 bari: which one is better the samsung LE32R87BDX, the hannspree JT01-32E2-000G or this one? as this one seems to have lower tech specs such as higher response time, lower contrast ration.

Easycom: Tosh is more reliable, Hannspree very basic. Smsung more connections but has reliability issues

28-Aug-2007 Keith: When the TV is switched off, is it astually "off" or does it remain on stand by

Easycom: To switch the unit off completely you must unlug it from the mains supply.

14-Aug-2007 Sed: Why don't you advertise on ebay, you seem to have a better price than them and other sites I have visited. Also does the stand and wall bracket cost extra? thanks

Easycom: the price for the stand ZAR321445/BKI is £109.97 this is the most popular stand their are lots more just have a look at the 32 inch tv stands, plus the wall bracket compaitable for the tv, FL1 is £64.97.

24-Sep-2007 Conway: How is Toshiba when hooked up to a XBOX360? Im considering a purchase but the 12ms response time is a bit off putting. Most TVs ive seen the standard is 8ms. How come this is so high?

Easycom: most tvs say 8ms but this is grey to grey, Tosh's is 12ms black to black which is the same

2-Oct-2007 FecKeRD: Which of these is the better tv..Tosh/Philips 5522d/LG32LC56

Easycom: They're all about the same spec and they all have LG/Philips panels. It would probably come down to presonal choice and I prefer the Philips, Its also the latest one out

15-Oct-2007 COR72Z: i like the look of this tv but i heard that some tvs dont like working with bluray/ps3. toshiba supports hd-dvd only so would this be as good with ps3 as a similar priced samsung or LG??? Also does blu ray look good on 1080i tvs in general?? thanks

Easycom: blu-ray looks the same as HD DVD, as for the Tosh and Blu-ray, the Blu-ray will display up to the maximum resolution of the TV. I would say it is more reliable than Samsung

25-Oct-2007 wee phil: Does this TV auto-install? Also does it have teletext

Easycom: Yes.

28-Oct-2007 nick: How much is Delivery

Easycom: you will need to call sales as it depends on how fast you want it

28-Oct-2007 Nick: What kind of a response time would it give if I used a PC or laptop through the PC VGA in socket and is it recomendable or would the Samsung LE32R87BDX which is better

Easycom: The Toshiba features a 12ms response time where the Samsung features an 8ms response time.

18-Nov-2007 Di: What would have the better picture quality out of this, the Samsung LE32R87BDX or the Finlux 32FLD760

Easycom: The finlux has a better picture
