Easycom: yes, if you contact Toshiba they will send you a firmware update disc or you can connect it to the web & do it online

19-Sep-2007 Steve: Will this product play MP3 files stored on a CDR? Is there an HDMI lead included?

Easycom: it comes with an HDMI cable but I don't know about it supporting mp3

3-Dec-2007 johnmex: Hi if you had a firmware update so you can play DVD+/DVD+RW,would you lose the DVD-/DVD-RW ? play back,is that why it didnt come with both+- plus Ive heard if you conect up to the internet you can do stuff on line ? is it true.

Easycom: on the early models you will need to connect this up to get the firmware update, so that it can play standard DVDs. it is easy to do, but you can also contact Toshiba and they should be able to send a disc out to do it
