Swade:
Is this unit capable of some serious Base, is it advisable to purchase a secondary base unit? whats the total output of the unit?
Easycom:
It all depends on what you want. If you want a really bassy unit, then yes but for movies it is more than adiquate. total output is 250 watts. if you live in the Huddersfield area, call in to our showroom for a demonstration, you won't be dissapointed

Hi there,
1) Is this speaker stand made by S&C Group?

I can't get to that total from the product description!
Many thanks..
Easycom:
yes it is... because of the Subwoofer output deatails supplied by S&C

James:
I understand a tv can be connected via an optical cable. What about other systems such as an Xbox 360, Blu-Ray player or Sky Box. Can these be connected as well and all still output true surround sound?
Easycom:
yes there are multiple connections to add other devices

you say this product can be connected via an optical cable,is that differant to a hdmi cable? if so whats the differance?new to all this....
thanks.

yes they are different. optical only transmits sound HDMI does both picture and sound. this unit has no need for a HDMI socket as it is only a sound system

Paulus:
You did mention above that this item is the same as the one made by S&C, and they say they have HDMI inputs and outputs in their model details? Ive checked a few sites and they all confirm this - so does this one defintitly not have HDMI ports?
Easycom:
this is the premium version made by S&C. if any other site states it has a HDMI then they're wrong. we have a close There is a more expensive version being trialed with HDMI connections, but as this doesn't have a DVD player having HDMI connections is a waste of time and money

Hi, are you aware of anywehre i can read any user reviews about this product - before buying id like some further input as to what the sound is like compared to some of the stand alone 5.1 systems available. The output on these systems appears to vary between 400 and 1000w where as this one is only 250? Im close to the bristol area, is there anywhere i would be able to view/here it for myself?
Easycom:
Sorry but I don't know of any reviews. it was featured in a back issue of Stuff as a must have gadget but no review was written.
