Because most wireless routers operate at 2.4GHz providing only 3 non-overlapping channels they tend to incur poor wireless performance. To overcome this problem, the Air 4420STB works at 5 GHz to provide 22 channels of interference free, high speed 300Mbps wireless networking.

For wider wireless coverage and to overcome weak signal problems you could extend your network by adding AirTies wireless repeaters using AirTies MESH technology. There is no limit to the number of 4420STBs that can be used. It is easy to add wireless repeaters with AirTouch technology at a touch of a button. AirTouch technology propagates all network settings to all repeaters so you can roam across the whole network without any need to change settings.
